034: Corinne Kerston on Confidence Hacks for Business and Life

Creating a simply designed life in business or life may seem simple in theory, but is not exactly easy in practice. Life happens, things get messy, and not only do we feel the need to manage the day in day out challenges that gets in the way, but also all the mental stuff holding us back from taking the next step towards a positive outcome.

As someone in the declutter coaching and productivity space, you’d think I’d be able to have my stuff together, and there very well are times when I do, however, there are times I still struggle like everyone else.

But just like putting a timeline on how long I’m allowed to keep an item in the home (and if I don’t use it by a certain deadline I donate or toss it), I also put a timeline in the amount of time any negative energy that does not serve me in fulfilling my higher purpose comes my way. Because confidence does not always equate to being brave. Choosing what’s right and taking courageous action despite the fear is. Creating an ideal, well-designed life different from current circumstances may require courage. This episode will provide insight into confidence and visibility—particularly for women who want to uplevel a new area of business or life.

Who is Corinne?

Corinne Kerston is a business mindset coach and visibility badass who strives to help passionate, powerful female entrepreneurs get over any fears that are holding their business back and finally succeed. Part mindset, part visibility, lots of business confidence; Corinne helps women kick fear in the ass and build a business that fills their heart with joy.

Quotes from Corinne

It took my own mindset and inner work and I finally hit this point where I just realized I cared too much what people thought so I was kind of holding myself back from putting myself out there, so I hit this point where I don’t care what people think. You know, I’m gonna be me, I’m gonna put myself out there and that’s what I wanna help other people do. I want to help other women to that point where they don’t care what people think, just put themselves out there and market themselves completely and fully themselves. (5:04)

Find something that makes you happy. Whatever your business, you know if you’re just starting out in your entrepreneurial journey don’t just pick something because you think it’s going to be profitable, or because someone else had made money in it. Do something that you genuinely want to do. (9:37)

If you’ve achieved something, you know more than someone who’s just starting out, so there’s always someone that you can teach. (12:48)
