Do you ever think to yourself, “I’m too old” or “too young” to write that book / run that marathon / start that business / insert life goal here? In this episode, Chelann Gienger shares her entrepreneurial journey, which started at just 15-years old.
She’s living proof you could never be too young (or old) to do what it is you really want to do in life. (And if you want proof you’re never too old, just listen through previous and upcoming episodes for inspiration!)
Many things contributed to her success, including an upbringing in the cabin in the woods and surrounding herself with those who were “running the same race” as she. I hope you come away from this episode fired up and ready to take action!

Quotes from Chelann
I’m an incredibly organized, detail-oriented person and I did my best to create structures, plans and systems so we could jump off that cliff with somewhat of a parachute. (3:14)
Define the lifestyle—your ideal lifestyle—that you want to live, not just now, but your whole life and then form your goals around them. (28:14)
What You’ll Learn
- How awareness can lead to personal growth. Upon receiving feedback on her management style, Chelann saw an opportunity to make changes for herself, and her team by empowering them to “own” their tasks.
- How an unorthodox upbringing in a cabin in the woods with little media influence helped foster an entrepreneurial mindset that focused on creation and innovation.
- Finding other, self-starting, entrepreneurs her own age was a challenge—many of her first business mentors and friends were much older than she. However, creating her podcast proved a great resource for finding other entrepreneurs her own age, and also helped further her Entrepreneur Before 25 Movement.
- Her love for systems and creating them. If you want to live the freedom based life style you have to have them in place so you could work on your business and not in your business all the time
